This youtube video helped me unlock my iPhone 3g with the newly released 3.0 OS. I use to have a 2g iPhone last year and sold it for the e71 (I still love the e71). I also unlocked that phone by myself! I was very proud of myself for that because it took me awhile haha.I bought a used iPhone for my brother and as a back up phone. Note: This jailbreaking software just came out recently, so not everything runs smooth as pie. It’s a little laggy, so this a warning to you all. I am not responsible for any errors happening during your process.

Before you follow these steps, please back up your data just in case something wrong happens!***

1. Download: iphone 3.0 OS software (pick the one that correlates with your phone or iTouch)

2. Download: redsn0w and follow the directions for DFU mode (jailbreak process). Make sure you listen carefully!

3. Follow the procedures for ultrasnOw to complete the process of unlocking*** (works for carriers such as T-Mobile)

4.Add MMS to iPhone with these setttings (for T-Mobile networks only)***:

• go into settings > general > network > cellular data network

• go down to MMS and fill in this info

• APN: pc.tmobile.com

• MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

• MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

• Restart phone (always reboot when making sudden changes to any phone)
